Remember Ray Stevens? Who could forget 1962′s “Ahab the Arab” or “The Streak” in the spring of 1974? At age 70, Ray’s back with “We the People”, also known as “The ObamaCare Song.” Ray speaks his mind on the health care bill which recently passed Congress. This song is fast becoming the unofficial anthem of the Tea Party movement. You can download the MP3 for only 99 cents by using the Amazon.com link above.
Will radio play this? Is radio playing this? I have yet to hear any stations in my area give this song airplay. Is Ray Stevens’ “We the People” getting airplay on your local stations?
Should radio play this? Or is it too political and controversial? I’d like to hear your thoughts in the comment section below. Also, be sure to check out the rest of my site. On the list to your right, you’ll see about 280 classic radio clips from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s for your listening pleasure. There’s also a section dedicated to vintage CB radios and antennas from the “Smokey and the Bandit” days. Plus current radio and TV job opportunities, industry news, and more. Thanks for coming and be sure to share this link!

LOVE it! But there’s no way any mainstream radio station will ever play it. I intend to send the link to everybody I know though.

Love this song. Radio should be playing it! If teachers can teach small children to sing about Obama like he is wonderful in public schools why should their be any problem with playing this song on the airwaves? Might make a few people start asking questions!

This needs to be played. The sentiment and outrage of the people is not in favor of gentility, put it bluntly, put it on the airwaves.

you should have made a song with Fidel and Obama because he is following cubas history. At election promise promise, then excuses excuses and they back stabbing the people and taking things away. I know I lived it and its an instant replay.

You Americans are hilarious – you bitch and whine when people are are trying to do you a favour. If you had REAL health care paid for by your taxes you would pay less and get more. Big pharma and big health insurance saw you coming. You pay a lot of tax and get stuff all for it except for politicians on the take. You have four times as many lobbyists in DC as congressmen and wonder why you’re being screwed over. My advice – talk to your representatives and vote. Oh and stop watching Fox it’s total fictional crap. The view from “down under”.

The LEFT is going to find out WE are relevant to the proceedings and they are going to be out on their TAILS in November.
Loved the song. The American people are sick of being treaded upon and dismissed by those who are suppose to represent us.
WE WILL REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jimmy Cracks Corn – please explain how 53% of the vote to 46% of the vote is a landslide? A sound win sure, landslide – not so much. If you would like to see an actual landslide Presidential election please see Nixon/McGovern or Harding/Cox.
And that was against John McCain, if the Republican candidate was someone people could’ve related to or gotten excited about at all, pretty sure Obama would’ve had a much tougher competition on his hands. Besides, with 36% of voters not even bothering to cast a ballot, it could be anyone’s election if they can get the voters out.

Hey Peter, why don’t you stick to things you actually know about, like say things that happen in Australia?
I’m not sure why you care about our politics, our television programming, or our health care system, or more importantly why you think we would actually care to hear your opinions about any of them.

Play this song on EVERY RADIO STATION! It is only the TRUTH, & more than 1/2 of TRUE Americans think this way, as I DO! Let it play, there is nothing “dirty” about it.
In Toby Keiths song, he actually said ASS in his after the 911 Tragedy, so Ray at least left that word out & it is in the KJV of The Bible.
Wake up idiots that are against this song,…..LET IT PLAY ANYWHERE & EVERYWHERE.
