By 1982, WIFC was already a CHR power in Central Wisconsin.  As of 2009, they have been Top 40/CHR for 35 continuous years!  Duff Damos was their Program Director for what seemed like forever.  I remember sending him tapes and resumes when I was first starting out in radio.

From my location in Apple Valley, MN, reception of WIFC wasn’t too difficult.  This was long before the 95.5′s in Mora and New Prague became active.  So, I simply pointed my beam east and dialed them up.  Keith Roberts and Jeff Scott are both heard here.

To pull in WIFC, I used a Pioneer SX-3900 receiver, Winegard 10 element FM yagi antenna, Alliance U-100 Tenna Rotor, and Belden ultra low loss RG59 coaxial cable.  The recording was made to a Technics stereo cassette deck with Scotch Dynarange 90 tape.
