Verizon Wireless – $99.99 iPhone 4 8GB Smartphone

This week, Verizon Wireless stores are featuring the iPhone 4 8GB model for just $99.99! Apple’s iPhone 4 features a high-resolution Retina display, FaceTime video calling, and a 5-megapixel camera and HD video recording. Plus iOS5 and iCloud. Best of all, Verizon Wireless has it for only $99.99 with a new 2-year activation and data pak.

Sale price valid through December 24, 2011 at participating stores. Most Verizon Wireless locations will be closed on Christmas Day (Sunday, December 25, 2011) and open on New Year’s Day (Sunday, January 1, 2012.)

Verizon Wireless Droid Bionic 4G LTE – Specs & Review

After several months of waiting, the new Motorola Droid Bionic 4G LTE has finally arrived in Verizon Wireless stores. It’s the latest and greatest in the Motorola Droid series. The Droid Bionic beats Apple’s new iPhone 5 to store shelves, but the iPhone 5 will arrive soon. This sets up what we believe will be the Smartphone Battle of 2011: Droid Bionic vs iPhone 5.

Verizon is pricing the new Droid Bionic at $299.99. As expected, this price requires a 2-year contract and a data pak. Remember, Verizon no longer offers an unlimited data plan, so you will have to watch your usage. $30/month buys 2GB of data with higher monthly allowances available on an increasing price scale. With the 4G LTE connection, it’s easy to use more data without realizing it until it’s too late.

The Droid Bionic is powered by the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with a TI OMAP processor, running at 1GHZ. 16GB of internal memory is included, plus a 16GB microSD card. This matches the top-tier iPhone which also has 32GB of total memory. The microSD card can be expanded to 32GB, resulting in total memory of 48GB. Also includes Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and a 1700mAH Li-ion battery to keep you going for several hours. It’s the largest battery yet on an LTE device. Also included is an 8 megapixel camera which captures 1080p high-definition video.

Will Motorola’s Droid 3 Bionic “Rule all Machines”, as their advertising suggests? Time will tell. At $300, we at CheapoLife.com rate this as an excellent value. It certainly has the power and the speed to back up it’s claim. You’re not likely to be disappointed with the power and capabilities of the Motorola Droid Bionic on Verizon Wireless.

Verizon Wireless – $59.99 Unlimited Talk and Text to Any Mobile!

If you like to talk and make most of your wireless calls to other cell phones, Verizon Wireless has a new plan you’re sure to love! The Unlimited Any Mobile Plan gives you unlimited talk and text to any mobile, any network in the U.S! You also get 450 anytime minutes for calling landline phones, plus unlimited nights and weekends.

This plan is currently available only in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and “select markets” in Texas, Tennessee, and Florida. Pricing varies, but is $59.99 per month in most areas. Verizon Wireless is marketing this wireless plan as being available “for a limited time only.” From what I understand, this means it will be available until the end of the year, at which time Verizon will decide whether or not to make it a permanent choice and/or available in other parts of the country.

Current deals on cell phones include the Droid Incredible by HTC for just $199.99 after $100 mail-in rebate debit card and the Samsung Intensity II FREE after $50 mail-in rebate debit card. All phones require new 2-year activation with Verizon Wireless.
