Hy-Vee stores will be serving a FREE Veterans Day breakfast to veterans and active military personnel on Friday, November 11. Enjoy a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown casserole, biscuits-and-gravy and coffee.
Serving hours vary by store, but are from 6:00AM or 7:00AM to 11:00AM at most locations with in-store dining areas. Available at Hy-Vee stores in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
To receive your free Hy-Vee breakfast on Veterans Day, simply show proof of military service such as your U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Veterans Organization Card (i.e., American Legion and VFW), DD214, Citation or Commendation, photograph of yourself in uniform, or simply wear your uniform. This special promotional offer valid on November 11 during breakfast hours at participating restaurants.
Thank you, Hy-Vee, for serving our military men and women this Veterans Day!
There are 5 times each year to buy Tostitos, Doritos, and potato chips: the week before Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas/New Year’s. Many stores will sell chips at or below cost during these times. The purpose is to get you into the store where they hope you will then purchase all your other holiday groceries and party items from them.
It used to be pretty common to find chips on sale for $2 per bag during the pre-holiday sales. But food price inflation has taken it’s toll and prices have risen substantially over the past few years. This is also why the bags are smaller and/or weigh less than they used to. Don’t even get me started on that soapbox! Fortunately, Hy-Vee comes to the rescue for Labor Day Weekend! Hy-Vee is offering standard size bags of Lay’s Potato Chips for just $1.68 each at most locations. Lay’s Kettle Cooked and Tostitos Cantina chips are also available for the same low sale price.
According to the newspaper insert, there doesn’t appear to be a limit on these. You’re not likely to find a cheaper price, so stock up now and make sure you have enough to last until Thanksgiving Day!
Offer valid through September 3, 2013 at participating locations. No coupon required to get this deal. Most Hy-Vee stores will be open holiday hours on Labor Day (Monday, September 2.)
There are 5 times each year to buy soda pop: the week before Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas/New Year’s. Many stores will sell sodas at or below cost during these times. The purpose is to get you into the store where they hope you will then purchase all your other holiday groceries and party items from them.
Hy-Vee is featuring Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Pepsi MAX, Sierra Mist Natural, Mountain Dew, Diet Mountain Dew, and other select varieties, four 12 packs for $10.00. That’s just $2.50 each! Given the substantial price increases we’ve seen on soda over the past few years, this is about as cheap as you’ll find Pepsi 12 packs. According to the newspaper insert, there is a limit of 4 and you must purchase 4. A coupon is required which you will find on the front page of the August 27 sale ad. If you don’t have the ad, copies are available at most Hy-Vee stores. Stock up at the 4 for $10 sale price and make sure you have enough to last until Thanksgiving Day! This price is good at most, but not all Hy-Vee stores. In some locations, the deal is 4 for $11.
6 packs of 24 ounce bottles are also available at the same low price with coupon.
