On these dates, you can purchase these items free of Arkansas state sales tax:
Clothing priced at less than $100 per article.
Clothing accessories equipment priced at less than $50 per item.
School supplies, school art supplies, and school instructional materials.
Many stores will be having special back to school sales on eligible items in conjunction with the sales tax holiday. Walmart, Target, Belk, Shoe Carnival, Famous Footwear, Dillard’s, Kmart, Sears, JCPenney, Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Marshalls, Kohl’s, Old Navy, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples are all good stores for tax free weekend sales and special back to school tax holiday promotions.
