Kroger has a nice little deal that gives you 10 cents off of each gallon of fuel. For those of you who are not familiar with the program, it works like this: Use your Kroger Plus card every time you shop in the store. For each dollar you spend, you receive 1 Fuel Saver point. When you reach 100 points (easy to do with today’s high grocery prices), you receive 10 cents off each gallon of fuel you purchase at the Kroger fuel island. Look at your last Kroger reciept and it will tell you how many points you have available. For instance, mine says “You have until January 31st to redeem your December points balance of 368.” 100 points = 1 fill up. So, I am eligible for 3 fill ups at any Kroger fuel island. If your local Kroger does not sell fuel, check the other stores around town. The discount is good at any store. Just scan your Kroger Plus card or keychain tag at the pump and you will see the discount applied to the per-gallon price.

In my area, Kroger’s regular fuel prices are competitive with Raceway, and Murphy Oil (Wal-Mart.) These 3 are usually tied for the lowest cost per gallon. So, 10 cents off is a real deal. It’s not one of those scams where the pump price is jacked up in order to give you a “discount” off of an artificially inflated price.

The Kroger Fuel Saver points do NOT rollover into the next month. Use ‘em or lose ‘em. This deal is also valid at Dillons and King Soopers in select markets.
